Register to attend IBPSA-USA’s Career Fair! This is the first ever national career fair to connect candidates with potential employers for careers in simulation and analysis in the built environment, with an emphasis on energy, carbon, water and indoor environmental quality. Candidates seeking either full-time employment or internships are welcome to attend.

General FAQs

Information received during registration will be used solely for communication related to the career fair and will not be used for other purposes without express consent.
Event information will be accessible for 30 days after the live career fair has ended. This includes the list of all employers participating, the database of publicly uploaded candidate resumes, and employer specific content at booths and from plenary session presentations.

For candidates

Use the “Registration” section on this website. This will redirect you to an eventbrite page where you can purchase tickets. Event login details will be emailed to the email address provided during registration within two days after registration.
The event is free for IBPSA-USA members who register by 31st March 2023 and otherwise $5. For non members, the fee is $10 before 31st March 2023 and otherwise $15.

Yes, recordings will be available on the career fair web page for 30 days after the event.
You can reserve chat slots with employers but choose a meeting slot from the booths once the event gates open. Here is a detailed guide on how to use the reserve chat slot feature.
Yes, you can use the login information provided to rejoin the event multiple times.
While setting up your account on VFairs, you will be asked to provide your name and other details. All details other than your name will be optional. Any details entered will be visible to all employers if you choose to enter them.

Employer FAQs

Basic registration includes a booth set up for the career fair. Employers who register by 31st March 2023 will have a rate of $300. Registration fees after this date will be $400. Additional features such as sponsorship banners and presentations in the plenary session are available for an added fee.
Login information will be provided within two days after registration, along with instructions to set up your company’s booth.
Detailed reports available including metrics such as number of visitors at the booth, details of visitors, link engagement details etc. This information will be emailed to you, and also available through a dedicated employer dashboard. A detailed guide on how to use the exhibitor dashboard is here. You have to make sure to have your passwords set up to use it. The password is set from the email you got after you were added to step 6 of the booth setup form. This article will show you how to send password setup emails using the booth setup form:
As a part of the sponsorship package, banners of your organization will be displayed in prominent areas of the entrance lobby and the booth exhibit halls. Your organization will be able to showcase itself more prominently to the attending candidates.

IBPSA-USA is the United States regional affiliate of the International Building Performance Simulation Association (IBPSA). The mission of IBPSA-USA is to advance and promote the science of building simulation in order to improve the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of new and existing buildings in the United States.

Through its committees and working groups, such as the Emerging Professionals and Students of IBPSA-USA (EPSI), IBPSA-USA moves the building simulation industry forward. EPSI is dedicated towards improving career opportunities for early-career professionals.
